Tomomasa is a general in Kyou, known for being flirtatious, nonchalant, and popular with the ladies. He is one of the last to become a Guardian, as Byakko of Earth (地の白虎?).
In the anime he is seen as the imperial messager.

He cares for Akane and regards his time with her as sweet as nectar. Although at the beginning of the anime Tomomasa jokes and flirts with her a lot, causing Akane to blush, little by little he ends up being enchanted by her and her smile, that he cannot take his eyes off her. In his ending, Tomomasa stays with her and reveals his true feelings to her.
